Delicious whole wheat bread with almost no hands on time? Yes, please!

  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 egg (or 1TBSP arrowroot powder + 2 TBSP water)
  • ¾ TSP sea salt
  • 2 TBSP brown sugar or honey
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour (white wheat or spelt preferred)
  • 1 TBSP instant yeast
  1. Fill bread maker pan with all ingredients.
  2. Set bread maker on dough setting and press start.
  3. Once bread maker has completed the dough cycle, turn dough out onto a parchment lined sheet pan.
  4. Divide dough into 8 evenly sized rolls or 10 evenly sized hotdog buns.
  5. Put into oven and set temperature to 170 degrees or as low as your oven goes.
  6. Allow the rolls to proof for 15 minutes in the oven.
  7. Once 15 minutes have passed, turn the temperature up to 400 degrees and start the timer again immediately for another 15 minutes.
  8. After 15 minutes, the rolls should be baked and ready to cool.
