The closer I get to the big 4-0 the more I notice the skin around my eyes showing the natural progress of time. Now, there have been a lot of smiles to make those smile lines, and I treasure each one of them. But I’m just as happy to nourish that delicate skin around my eyes and keep the years a secret.
How about you? When you look in the mirror, do you see smiling eyes?
Yeah, I thought so. Yay for happiness!
But look, I’d rather people mistake me for my younger self. Luckily, there’s an oil for that (or three, ha ha)!
Frankincense to the rescue in this super easy eye serum!
I know it’s totally the rage these days to buy into these super expensive skincare regimes, but you totally don’t have to. Sometimes a good DIY made with quality ingredients will get you all the mileage you need.
Argan oil is the base to this serum and it is well known in the beauty world as an powerhouse carrier oil. It’s not just to disperse the essential oils, y’all. It has beautifying properties all on its own.
This little serum is easy to make in a dropper bottle, but you could just as easily split this between several roller bottles to make it even simpler to apply.

Here’s what you need to make this DIY Essential Oil Eye Serum Recipe:
- A 2 ounce glass dropper bottle OR 6-10ml roller ball bottles
- 1 ounce of Almond Oil
- 1 ounce of Argan Oil
- 3 drops of Blue Tansy essential oil OR 3 drops of Sacred Sandalwood essential oil
- 10 drops Geranium essential oil
- 10 drops Frankincense essential oil
How to make:
Combine all ingredients in your dropper bottle, cap and gently shake to combine. If you are using the roller bottles, mix all ingredients in a small glass container, and then use a dropper or small funnel to fill each roller bottle.
Then you can use by applying to the areas around your eyes. If using the dropper bottle apply with your ring finger and dab lightly. If using the roller bottle, just roll on and then smooth with your ring finger.
Best used both morning and evening.
Then say hello to bright, happy eyes!
Tell me, do you use an eye serum or eye cream? How often do you use it?
