It’s time to start playing with your Young Living Starter Kit Oils, right?   That big box of goodness is a wealth of solutions and fun.

With that in mind, I’ve got 3 roller bottle recipes with Young Living starter kit oils for you to try so that you can get your feet wet and see how well they work.

One thing you will want to remember, though is that they aren’t always a “quick fix.”   Everyone has different bodies and they all work uniquely.   So what works well for me might not be the best choice for you.   The great thing is, though that you can experiment until you find your perfect oil.

So whether you see results quickly or a little more gradually, remember that they are a part of all the good healthy choices you are going to make, not a one stop shop for everything.   And with time and consistency, you’ll gain more confidence and see great results.

But the point of making these three rollers is to help you gain some confidence, use some oils, and start gathering some experiences of your own.    Ultimately, you’ll know what works and what doesn’t work.

Essential Oil Refresher

Essential oils are valuable extracts from plants, they are concentrated and potent.    That’s why we love them so much, right?  We can use them for health, cleaning, personal care, and support for the body.

But it is important to remember that while many, many companies sell essential oils, they are not equal in quality or safety.  That’s why I’m only talking about Young Living’s oils when I mention essential oils.   They put in far more effort into producing a clean, effective, and safe essential oil than the rest.   I’ve seen it personally, and no other brand compares.

Here are a few examples of why I’m such a fan:

  • I’ve visited their farms and other facilities, it is super transparent.
  • They use sustainable farming practices in all of their farms.
  • They do in house testing and third party testing.  Every batch is tested tens of times before it’s allowed to be used.
  • Their fields are hand weeded and they never use chemical pesticides.

and so many more….but you are here for the roller bottle recipes, right?  So we’ll move on to those!

If you haven’t already gotten oils from Young Living, please consider getting them through me.   You can get them here.

3 Young Living Starter Kit Roller Bottle Recipes

Rollers are so convenient, which is one reason why you will want to start experiencing your new starter kit oils this way.   And using your oils diluted in a roller will help them to last longer, which makes them even more cost effective.

Here are some of my favorite roller supplies, I love the clear bottles and gold tops….so pretty!

Of course if you already have roller bottles to use, then use them.

Let’s get started!

Using your Starter Kit Roller Bottles

Roller bottles make using oils very, very easy.   You don’t need to worry about remembering to dilute your oils with a carrier because it is already done for you.    You can just roll on whatever part of your body you want, and you are good to go.

My favorite carrier oil to use in these recipes is the V6 carrier oil from Young Living, but you can substitute out a fractionated coconut oil and still get great results.

3 Young Living Starter Kit Roller Bottle Recipes

Muscle Love Roller Recipe

Let’s start with the Muscle Love recipe.    You are going to love rolling this on your neck, shoulders, after a workout or anywhere your muscles need some TLC.

Just roll it on and massage it in with your hands for a tingly, cooling sensation.   Doesn’t that feel awesome?

So what is in this roller?    Peppermint essential oil and PanAway essential oil blend are the key players.

Why did I choose Peppermint for this roller?

  • It feels cool and tingly on the skin, so that makes it the perfect oil to use right after you workout or break a sweat.
  • It’s a refreshing sensation when applied topically.
  • Peppermint really perks you up with the cool and bracing scent.
  • This oilIt  has naturally occurring menthol.

Why did I choose PanAway for this roller?

  • It feels refreshing and stimulating when you breathe it in.
  • PanAway cools your neck, scalp, and shoulders when you apply it to them.
  • This blend is perfect to use after physical activity.
  • And it contains naturally occurring methyl salicylate, menthol, gamma curcumene, and eugenol (hit the search engine for more details on those).

How to make the Muscle Love Roller Recipe:

  • 15 drops PanAway essential oil blend
  • 10 drops Peppermint essential oil
  • a 10 ml roller bottle
  • carrier oil to fill
  1. Add the essential oils to the empty 10ml roller bottle.
  2. Swirl gently in the roller bottle.
  3. Fill the roller bottle with your carrier oil to just below the neck of the bottle.
  4. Replace the roller ball and screw on the top.
  5. Label roller bottle with intended use.

Did you know:  Wintergreen essential oil (which is in PanAway) has a naturally occurring component called Methyl salicylate?  Lots of different muscle rub products have that same component, but just synthetically created.

Nature for the win.

Just Chill Roller Recipe

This year has definitely been one for the books.    That is why I picked Stress Away and Peace and Calming for this next roller bottle.

This roller is perfect to wear as a personal fragrance and is the ideal roller for keeping a good attitude about your day.

Kids and adults alike will love this roller.   It really is that great.

If you find that you’re more sensitive to fragrances, you may try rolling this on the soles of your feet first, but you can roll this on your wrists, neck, or wherever makes sense to you otherwise.

Why Stress Away?

  • Stress Away has a relaxing and calming smell.
  • It can help with occasional feelings of stress and tension.
  • This is a well rounded “vacation in a bottle” blend of lime, vanilla, copaiba, cedarwood, ocotea and lavender.

Why Peace and Calming?

  • This oil blend has a fresh and comforting aroma.
  • Helps to freshen the air when used in a diffuser.
  • Peace and Calming creates a peaceful environment during times that need it.
  • It’s a favorite of moody kids, with peaceful smells like orange, tangerine, blue tansy, and a hint of patchouli.

How to make the Just Chill Roller Recipe:

  • 15 drops Peace and Calming essential oil blend
  • 15 drops Stress Away essential oil blend
  • a 10 ml roller bottle
  • carrier oil to fill
  1.  Add the essential oils to the empty 10ml roller bottle.
  2. Swirl gently in the roller bottle.
  3. Fill the roller bottle with your carrier oil to just below the neck of the bottle.
  4. Replace the roller ball and screw on the top.
  5. Label roller bottle with intended use.

Keep in mind:   this roller bottle contains citrus oils that can make your skin more sensitive to UV light.  To avoid some unexpected skin irritation make sure to use these either 12 hours before you’ll be in the sun, or just apply underneath your clothing (where the sun doesn’t shine).   Then you’ll be just fine.

Well Rested Roller Recipe

I am always at my best if I get at least 8 hours of good, solid sleep each night.   But life with a baby means I don’t get those hours very often.

The well rested roller bottle helps make each and every hour I get count, and can help you max out whatever time you have to sleep, too.

This blend of lavender, frankincense, and valor essential oils is great to apply to your neck and wrists before bed, or even a nap if you have the time for one.  You could even put it on your feet, it will work just as well there, too!

Why did I pick Lavender?

  • It has very balancing qualities that may calm the mind and body.
  • Lavender fights occasional nervous tension.
  • It can be very soothing to skin.

Why did I pick Frankincense?

  • It has an uplifting, woodsy aroma.
  • The grounding and spiritual aroma make it perfect for quiet times.
  • Frankincense helps inspire feelings of safety and comfort when diffused.

Why did I pick Valor?

  • Valor is one of my favorite essential oil blends for emotions.
  • It encourages positive emotions and a good attitude when diffused or inhaled.
  • This blend promotes feelings of confidence and courage.

How to Make the Well Rested Roller Recipe

  • 12 Drops Lavender essential oil
  • 8 drops Frankincense essential oil
  • 6 drops Valor essential oil blend
